In-Flow sterilisation is a process that kills micro-organisms that are present in all food, dairy and pharmaceutical products, by means of bringing the product up to a very high temperature (approx. 300°F) for a short period of time. The micro organisms that are in the product will be in deactivated and the product, antiseptically filled in a suitable “container”, will be "shelf stable".
Sterideal UHT processor
The SF&DS Sterideal in-flow processor is the most versatile unit available on the market today. Essentially, it consists of a helical configuration of concentric double-tube, triple-tube and/or multi-tube heat exchanger modules. With the possibility of regenerating up to 86% of the process heat, the Sterideal is clearly an energy efficient steriliser. The perfectly smooth and seamless construction of the product channel from inlet to outlet eliminates food and dirt traps, which ensures minimum loss of production during cleaning.
Steritwin UHT processor
For some very special (value added) product types requiring a UHT process at an extremely high temperature (up to 160 ºC) SF&DS developed the Steritwin. This is a combined direct and indirect heating system. The indirect heating system consists of a SF&DS Sterideal, a system that has already proved its worth all over the world. In the Sterideal, the greatest proportion (86%) of the energy is regenerated, which makes the Sterideal an extraordinarily effective system – also from the viewpoint of energy efficiency.
